The City Council of Valencia will fire 4 fireworks simultaneously on December 31 on the occasion of the great New Year’s Eve party 2023-2024. At midnight in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, in the Turia riverbed at the height of the Bus Station, the Serrano Towers and the City of Arts and Sciences, Pirotecnia Vulcano will be responsible for firing 2,000 kilos of gunpowder in a coordinated manner with GPS control technology.
Before, in the Town Hall Square there will be a musical show with Valencian DJs such as Raquel Cardona, Angie Rool and Victor Perez throughout the night until the celebration of the chimes. “When the clock in the square reaches twelve o’clock, the pyrotechnician will press play to fire the four castles at the same time and all Valencia will be completely illuminated,” said the mayor, María José Catalá.
This show will have an official name, “Vulcano Magic”, for the power and variety of effects. For this event have been designed innovative friezes and facades never seen to date.
According to the city council, all the products used will be made of cardboard and biodegradable plastic as part of Valencia’s commitment to become European Green Capital 2024. In addition, for the firing in the Town Hall Square will be used material with cataloging T1, which allows its use in enclosed spaces and theaters.
To see the fireworks outside the center of Valencia, you will have to go to the Valencia Bus Station, the surroundings of the Serranos Towers, or the City of Arts and Sciences. These castles will be fired from the area of the Turia Garden.
The party to bid farewell to the year 2023 in the Town Hall Square will take place from 10.30 p.m. on December 31, 2023 and 1.30 a.m. on January 1, 2024. The public will be able to access the square from 10 p.m. onwards at five different points: Marqués de Sotelo, Passeig de Russafa, Correos, Barques and María Cristina.
