Kinepolis Valencia cinemas have inaugurated this Thursday the first IMAX theater with laser in the Valencian Community, equipped with the latest generation projection system IMAX with Laser.
This room joins the IMAX Dome that for decades has been projecting films in the sphere of the Hemisfèric of Valencia. However, never before had a conventional cinema in the city been equipped with this technology.
This is the new IMAX theater at Kinepolis.

Room 10 of the cinema, which has 342 seats (24 of them VIP), has been completely transformed. The refurbishment includes the installation of a 4K-quality laser projector , a 12-channel sound system and a room design optimized to ensure maximum audiovisual quality from any seat.
Chris Gray, Director of Cinema Development for EMEA at IMAX, said during the presentation that the new theater arrives in time for a lineup that will incorporate titles such as Wicked: Part II and Avatar: Fire and Ash by the end of the year.
To celebrate the opening, the theater will open its doors this weekend with a limited-time screening of Interstellar, one of the most iconic films shot with this technology.
Throughout the last quarter of 2025, the IMAX billboard at Kinépolis Valencia will include premieres such as Chainsaw Man and Predator: Badlands. In addition, a special Back to the Future will be screened to commemorate its 40th anniversary.
IMAX® with Laser technology is characterized by offering images with greater brightness and contrast, a wider range of colors and surround sound distributed through twelve independent channels, seeking total immersion of the viewer in the film, as conceived by directors such as Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve and James Cameron, who prioritize this format for their works.
