The Fallas mascletà scheduled for Thursday, March 5, in Valencia has been suspended. Rain in the early hours of the day is the reason for the suspension of the show, which was to be carried out by Pirotecnia Zaragozana.
The decision was taken by consensus by the City Council, the Fallas Central Board and the pyrotechnics company itself after confirming that the conditions were not right for the event to go ahead.
Safety as the main factor
Setting up a show of this kind requires several hours of work and compliance with rigorous safety protocols, which could not be ensured due to the humidity and the accumulated delay.
Given the impossibility of guaranteeing that the installation would be completed on time and with maximum safety guarantees for technicians and the public, the parties involved have opted to cancel today’s event.
At the moment, it has not been announced whether the Pirotecnia Zaragozana show will be held on a new date within the Fallas calendar.
