The Valencia City Council will open an Interpretation Center of the Holy Chalice that will have an immersive experience through digital content.
The consistory has announced this week the tender for the technological equipment and the creation of digital content that will be part of its immersive experience.
The project, financed with European Next Generation funds, will involve the installation of an immersive cube with 4K laser projectors that will allow visitors to delve into the history and cultural significance of the relic.
While the Casa del Relojero (Clockmaker’s House) is being fitted out to definitively house the center, this equipment will be provisionally installed in El Almudín.
There it will function as a point of attention and reception of visitors during the III Jubilee Year of the Holy Chalice, to be held between October 2025 and October 2026.
The immersive experience will combine audiovisual resources and digital narratives to contextualize the Holy Chalice within the history of Valencia and its religious and cultural heritage.
The contract, with a budget of 614,000 euros and a six-month execution period, includes the production of audiovisual content for the immersive cube, as well as digital materials for the AppValència, the Visit València portal and other tourism promotion channels.
