Hot Doggys from Valencia, Venezuela, to Valencia, Spain. So presents Hot Doggys, a new opening in the city that brings one of the most popular street foods in Venezuela, but with a clear claim: the price, with options from just 2.50 euros.
The establishment, which opened its doors this October, is located at number 15 Bon Orde street, in the Extramurs neighborhood.
Behind this business are two Venezuelan brothers who, as they themselves tell in a video for @grupiplan, wanted to replicate here the flavor they missed so much.
“If I don’t get them, I’m going to do it myself.”
The concept behind Hot Doggys is to bring the “perrito” experience directly from Valencia, but the other one, the one from Venezuela, to the capital of the Turia. Joseph, co-creator of the business, had it clear: “I really missed Venezuelan hot dogs,” he explains. His motivation was nostalgia: “If I don’t get them, I’m going to do it myself”.
Said and done. The result is a place with a “fast food” philosophy where handmade products are the key. According to them, “everything is made by them”, and a differential point is that all the “sauces are 100% homemade”. Also, because of their prices, “they don’t break your pocket”.
For Joseph himself, his favorites are the classic dog and the “pana”, since they are the ones that most remind him of his country. Although there are others on the menu, also for 2.50 euros, such as the German (sauerkraut, raw onion and mustard), the “Cos-co” (onion, relish, mustard and ketchup) or the Chivo (ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, sautéed onion, bell pepper, potatoes) for 3.50 euros.
In addition to the savory offer, the place also has cheap desserts: a homemade cheesecake for only 2 euros.
