On the occasion of Christmas 2024 in Valencia, several museums in the city will open their doors free of charge with workshops, night stays, guided tours, storytelling and other activities aimed at children and families.
This is a perfect plan to learn more about the cultural heritage of the city with the whole family and to learn about the past and local history.
The different days will be concentrated during the school vacations, although the first appointment will be this Saturday, December 14 at the Museum of Natural Sciences. There, the little ones will be able to learn how footprints are formed and how paleontologists study them. In addition, during the activity, there will be a workshop where they can create footprints to decorate the house or the Christmas tree.
On the same day that classes end, December 21, La Almoina has prepared several guided tours to learn about the Saturnalia festivities, the Christmas of the ancient Romans, and how the urban evolution of the city has been, from its origins to the present day.
Another of the outstanding activities, which mix culture and Christmas spirit, are the workshops organized by the Museum of History of Valencia. During these activities, children can learn about the origin of the Christmas tree, the meaning of gifts, why we make them, and they can also make various crafts to decorate their room.
