Both the Valencian Community as a whole, and the province of Valencia in particular, are true paradises as far as sandy beaches are concerned. However, these are not always exclusive to people, and sometimes they also include man’s best friend .

Can Pinedo Beach
This beach in the south of the city, located on the edge of the port of Valencia, has an area set aside for the exclusive use of dogs and their owners. It remains open for these purposes until September 15 from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm. This 2023 its surface area has been expanded in response to the increase in users and currently has 9,900 square meters.
This is one of the most visited beaches and best rated by users.

Beach of La Torreta – Santa Elvira
In this case you will have to travel with your dog to the town of El Puig, located in the north of Valencia. This sand and stone beach has since 2016 with an area enabled for dogs next to the Barranc del Puig. It is usually quieter than the previous one, but lacks services.

Alboraya dog beach
Also north of the city of Valencia is the canine beach of Alboraya. It was previously located on the beach of Els Peixets, but was recently moved to the southern area of Port Saplatja. Despite its small size, it is an ideal beach for your dog to run and play in the sand.

Beaches of Alicante
If you are not convinced by the beaches in the province of Valencia, you can always choose among the 9 beaches that are available in the province of Alicante. These are: Cala Les Urques, in Calpe; Punta del Riu Sec beach and Barranc D’Aigües beach, in Campello; Vilera del Xarco beach, in Villajoyosa; Cala Rocío, in Torrevieja; Mar y Montaña beach, in Altea; Cala Cabo Peñas – Cala Mosca II, in Orihuela; Caleta dels Gossets, in Santa Pola; and Agua Amarga beach in the city of Alicante.

Beaches of Castelló
The province of Castelló is not far behind either and has a total of 6 sandy beaches where dogs can have access. These are: La Renegá beach, in Oropesa del Mar; Belcaire beach, in Móncófar; El Barranquet beach, in Benicarló; Les Llanetes beach and Aiguaoliva and Boca del Riu beaches, in Vinarós; and L’Estany beach, in Alcossebre.
