Aielo de Malferit, the birthplace of the unforgettable Nino Bravo, is left without its main cultural landmark. The town council of Vall d’Albaida has confirmed the permanent closure of the museum dedicated to the Valencian performer, after his heirs decided not to renew the contracts for the transfer of rights and personal objects that brought the exhibition to life.
This decision puts an end to years of tribute in his homeland and leaves a void in the area’s tourist offering. The Valencian council has already made official the closure of a space that, until now, was a place of pilgrimage for thousands of the artist’s fans.

According to statements made by Bravo’s relatives to À Punt, the reason for the disagreement between the family and the local government lies in a “lack of maintenance and revitalization” of the museum.
The heirs maintain that the space has not received the necessary attention, which has led to the progressive deterioration of some of the historical pieces on display.
However, the final straw was the loss of a pair of trousers belonging to the singer. This garment, which has incalculable sentimental value, has disappeared from the collection.

According to sources close to the case who spoke to À Punt, the insurance company has not covered the economic value of the lost item, leaving the family without fair compensation for the loss of this personal heritage.
For the time being, the future of Nino Bravo’s legacy is uncertain, although it is hoped that the items will be returned to his heirs while a possible relocation is being considered. Valencia City Council has assured that it is “in contact” with the singer’s family to assess the possibility of opening a museum in the capital.
