Valencia has from this summer 10 climate shelters managed directly by the City Council of Valencia and that will be enabled, outside opening hours, during episodes of extreme heat. El Cabanyal, Torrefiel, Parque del Oeste and Ayora are some of the areas where citizens will be able to access these shelters during situations of extreme heat or cold alert decreed by the responsible authorities.

- Ayora Energy Office: C/ José María Haro Salvador, 9-11.
- Parque Oeste Energy Office: Xalet Parc de l’Oest, C. d’Enguera.
- Torrefiel Energy Office: inside the Municipal Market.
- Benimaclet Library – Carola Reig
- Benicalap Library – Carmelina Sánchez-Cutillas
- Grau Library – Constantí Llombart
- Benimaclet Municipal Social Services Center

- Quatre Carreres Municipal Center of Social Services
This summer the network of weather shelters in Valencia will be permanently active until September 30 in the usual opening hours of the facilities that comprise it, unless for meteorological reasons it is deemed necessary to extend the period of activation.
The weather shelters are intended, above all, for the most vulnerable population, such as the elderly and children. All of them have a play area for children and a reading area for adults.
In addition to these shelters, the Valencia City Council already has more than fifty public fountains with cold and filtered water distributed throughout the city.
