
The Caudiel Cherry Fair 2025 will be held this weekend, 70 kilometers from Valencia. Both Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, the Alto Palancia region (Castellón) will host this event declared a Festival of Provincial Tourist Interest since 2017, has as its main objective to promote the local cherry, a key product in the economy and identity of the municipality.
During the weekend, in the central streets of the town will be installed a direct sales market of cherries and local crafts. It will be in Plaza de España, Plaza Nueva, Calle Colón, Lauria, Concordia, Cervantes, Mezquita, Nicasio Benlloch and adjacent streets.
If you arrive close to lunchtime, the Town Hall has organized a traditional “Olla de Pueblo”, which for 1 euro you can enjoy one of the 3,000 servings that will be prepared. It is a traditional stew of this area of the Valencian Community with vegetables, potatoes, meat and sausages.
The distribution of rations will take place in Concordia Street, the Socio Cultural Hall and the tent on Josefa Ventura Street, where there will be tables and chairs available for eating.
Throughout the day there will be children’s activities in this area, puppet theaters, as well as a vinyl market and musical performances. The complete program can be consulted here.
The Caudiel Town Council has also organized tourist routes through the main tourist attractions of the town, such as the Parish Church of San Juan Bautista and the Camarín de la Virgen del Niño Perdido.
The Courtyard and the Church of the Convent of the Barefoot Carmelites will be open both days from 10:00 to 13:00 for free visits.
