The Benimaclet neighborhood regains its most festive and protest-oriented spirit this weekend. On Friday, February 20, and Saturday, February 21, it will celebrate a new edition of its “carnestoltes.”

Social criticism, charanga music, and the smell of gunpowder are all part of a program that will kick off on Friday at 5 p.m.
At that time, the neighborhood assembly (located at 5 Masquefa Street) will host the Festa de la Infantesa, a musical snack designed for children.
Just half an hour later, at 5:30 p.m., the ‘Correbars’ will begin. The El Tro de La Gallina brass band will lead this unique route, which will start at the El Califat bar and visit participating establishments in the neighborhood, ending at Camp de les Fonts, the Sporting Benimaclet stadium.

After a raffle for products at 10:00 p.m., the streets will go dark to make way for the fire. At 11:00 p.m., the ‘Correfoc’ is scheduled, a pyrotechnic show featuring the Dimonis de Campanar group.
On Saturday, at 5:00 p.m., the neighborhood headquarters on Masquefa Street will once again be the meeting point for a gathering of dolçaina i tabalet groups from all over the Valencian Community.

The parade is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. from number 5 Masquefa Street.

Friday, February 20
- 5:00 p.m. – Children’s Party: Music and snacks for the little ones.
- Location: Neighborhood Assembly (C/ Masquefa, 5).
- 5:30 p.m. – ‘Correbars’: Festive parade accompanied by the brass band “El tro de la Gallina.”
- Route: Starting at El Califat bar and ending at Camp de les Fonts.
- 10:00 p.m. – Raffle prize giving: Draw for a selection of products from local shops.
- 11:00 p.m. – ‘Correfoc’: Fire show by the Dimonis Socarrats de Campanar.
- Start: Camp de les Fonts (Sporting soccer field).
Note: Between the ‘correbars’ and the ‘correfoc’ there will be dinner and drinks at affordable prices.
Saturday, February 21
- 5:00 p.m. – Gathering of dolçaines i tabals: Meeting of traditional music groups.
- Location: Neighbors’ Assembly (C/ Masquefa, 5).
- 7:00 p.m. – Carnival parade: The grand costume parade.
- Starting point: 5 Masquefa Street.
- 8:30 p.m. – Encounter between Tirant and Moro Maclet and the demons.
- 9:00 p.m. – Proclamation: Proclamation of the Caliphate of Benimaclet.
- Location: Neighbors’ assembly (C/ Masquefa, 5).
- 10:00 p.m. – Award ceremony and fireworks display: Raffle prizes (local products) will be awarded and fireworks will be set off to bid farewell to Carnival 2026.
