In the end, it will not be Valencia, but Torrent that will celebrate the 2026 Lunar New Year in style. Following the suspension of the parade in the center of Valencia last Saturday, Torrent will bring together the main representatives of Chinese Asian culture to celebrate the 2026 Chinese New Year this Sunday, February 22.
The celebration, which on this occasion welcomes the Year of the Fire Horse, will start at 12:00 noon in the Plaza Unió Musical.
2026 Lunar New Year program in Torrent
This space will be transformed into an open-air cultural venue where raffle tickets will be distributed and visitors can enjoy food trucks and activities for both adults and children.
The traditional parade will travel along Avenida del Vedat starting at 6:00 p.m., filling the center of the town of l’Horta Sud with color, music, and the classic dragon and lion dances.
