Valencia has spoken, we are bravas lovers and we have proved it. The first edition of Bravas Fest in Valencia has been a success: more than 30,000 people have attended, more than 7 tons of potatoes have been cooked and 9,000 liters of Mahou have been served.
For three days, from October 18 to 20, the Viveros Garden has become the stage where all lovers of this tapa have been able to taste the best bravas recipes of Cap i Casal .
The best bravas of Valencia
Throughout the Bravas Fest, the nine participating restaurants have had to bring out the best version of themselves to prove that their bravas are the best in the whole Comunitat in a very close contest due to the high level of the participants. In total, three prizes were awarded, the public, the jury and an honorable mention.
In the first place, the public has decided that the best bravas of Valencia are those of Timoteo. This restaurant has captivated the diners with a special recipe of bravas with aioli and chorizo jam brava sauce.
On the other hand, a luxury jury, formed by Edu González, from @bravasbarcelona, foodie, influencer, bravas expert and co-producer of the Mahou Bravas Fest, along with Ana Valdés, gastronomic influencer, and Ricardo, owner of the mythical local @barricardodesde1947, has ruled that the best bravas in the city can be found in the Gastro Trinquet Group .
This group has three iconic restaurants in Valencia, the Pelayo, the Vaqueta and Casa Baldo, where they offer a menu of high-level Valencian market food.
Finally, Taberna Amparín has received a special mention thanks to its professional trajectory and for the dedication and passion it has shown in the festival.
So now you know, the next time you don’t know where to go to have some good bravas, from now on you already have where to go.
