Artificial Intelligence (AI) is in the soup. Literally. Bacai, a Valencia restaurant located in the Malilla neighborhood, is the first to incorporate this technology into the restaurant experience.
Created by Carlos Rivero and Ricardo Giner, along with chef Julius Bienert, this restaurant employs this technology from the initial moment of booking to gather information about the diner’s preferences, and thus recommend dishes tailored to their tastes and dietary restrictions.
The restaurant also uses QR codes that specify information about the ingredients of each dish, its origin and recommended pairings.
Bacai’s gastronomic proposal focuses on market products, with proposals such as ajoblanco templado with red shrimp tartar, grilled octopus with patatas revolconas and Angus entraña with chimichurri criollo, among a dozen dishes on the menu.
In addition, from Monday to Thursday at noon the restaurant serves a daily menu for 34.90 euros consisting of a starter, main course and dessert.
Since its opening, Bacai has received mostly positive reviews. Last February it received recognition from the Macarfi guide as one of the two best openings in Valencia in the last year.
The restaurant is located in the Quatre Carreres district, at Carrer de Vicent Marco Miranda, 6. It is open from Monday to Sunday.
