Sometimes, the best gastronomic secrets are where you least expect them. It happens often in Valencia and its surroundings: places that don’t need big neon signs because their fame travels faster than the cars passing by.
This is the case of Carne Argentina (Calle Ue Sector ST-1, 35, Llíria, 46), a steakhouse located in a place, to say the least, curious: hidden at the exit of the CV-35, just at the entrance of Benisanó and Llíria.
To find it you have to be attentive. There is a service station (an Autoil gas station) and, right there, 50 meters inside, is located this place that has revolutionized the weekend nights in the area.
It can’t be seen from the main road, but it doesn’t need to be.
The success of this steakhouse is such that after the influx of people on a Saturday night, the warning is clear to anyone who wants to try to dine there: “If you don’t make a reservation, you don’t have a place”.
In the video, the owner recounts the recent case of a customer who drove from Alzira specifically to dine there. The reason? A work colleague gave him a very precise indication: “If you want to eat meat, go and look for the hidden pearl of Llíria”.
At first, the definition of “hidden pearl” may sound exaggerated, but it has its logic. As the restaurant explains: “The pearls are at the bottom of the sea”. And customers are the ones who have to “dive” to find this place behind a gas station.
In an era dominated by social networks, this Argentinean steakhouse proves that the classic method is still infallible. “Our best marketing is word of mouth”, they assure.
