Those who lost their home due to the dana of last October 29, 2024, will now be able to claim a grant of up to 20,000 euros to buy a new property.
The Diari Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) has published this Thursday the call for these aids of the special plan “Vive municipios dana”, aimed at subsidizing the purchase of housing in the towns affected by the floods.
The measure, which has a total budget of 30 million euros, will distribute in a first call a total of 3 million to finance 10% of the purchase price of a home already built in the affected municipalities.
The limit per household will be 20,000 euros to finance this down payment.
Requirements to apply for these subsidies for the purchase of a home

Those who apply for it must meet the requirement of residing in the affected municipalities at the time of the storm and have acquired a new home to meet their residential needs, provided that the previous one had been destroyed or seriously or structurally affected, “a circumstance that must be accredited by a technical report”, details the statement of the Generalitat Valenciana.
The aids also have economic requirements: they must have incomes between 1.5 and 6.5 times the Public Multiple Effect Income Indicator (IPREM). That is to say, a salary of between 10,800 and 46,800 euros per year gross in 12 payments; and from 12,600 to 54,600 euros in 14 payments.
Neither should they have another dwelling within 30 kilometers of the affected dwelling, except for the damaged dwelling itself.
The new home must be used as a habitual and permanent residence for a minimum of 10 years, with the obligation to register within three months of the grant and the incorporation in the deed of sale of the conditions associated with the subsidy.
The aids can be applied for during 10 working days from the day following the publication of the call in the DOGV and the order of resolution of the same will be by presentation of applications.
The processing can be carried out telematically through the electronic headquarters of the Generalitat or in person, in the registers provided for this purpose.
The provisional and final lists of admitted and denied applications will be published in the electronic headquarters and on the website of the Department of Social Services, Equality and Housing.
