The Consell has approved this Tuesday the “bono térmico”, a direct aid of 397.93 euros per dwelling intended for families affected by the dana of October 29, 2024. The measure, endowed with an initial budget of 18 million euros, will be granted ex officio, without the beneficiaries needing to apply for it, as detailed by the Consell in a statement.
This urgent aid, promoted by the First Vice-presidency and Conselleria of Social Services, Equality and Housing, will cover the extra energy costs of affected households during the winter.
The aim is to mitigate the risk of energy poverty aggravated by the destruction of heating systems, the persistence of moisture problems in homes and the loss of essential equipment after the floods.
Who can apply for this assistance

It is not a general aid for all those affected, but is specifically intended for groups considered vulnerable who reside in the municipalities affected by the dana.
This direct aid of 397.93 euros will be granted automatically, without the need for you to apply for it, but only if you belong to one of these three groups: you are a holder of the Valencian Inclusion Income, you receive a non-contributory benefit, or you already received the previous aid for loss of essential goods under Decree 163/2024.
To streamline the process, the Generalitat will not require applications. The administration will carry out an automated cross-referencing of the data of the beneficiaries already in its records.
The payment will be made by direct bank transfer to the accounts that the beneficiaries have registered with the regional administration.
In addition, the Consell has established that the bono dana térmico will not be subject to IRPF taxation. Nor will it be counted as income for the purposes of the Valencian Inclusion Income, in order to avoid affecting the receipt of other social benefits.
