As part of the 11th Festarrós de Sueca, will be held the 63rd International Valencian Paella Contest, where different restaurants compete to see who has the best recipe for this typical dish of ours.
Throughout the morning, national and international chefs will prepare their best version of paella, but there are some rules and you have to follow the traditional recipe that has rabbit and chicken and has to give 15 servings, not one more and not one less.
The Sueca 2024 International Valencian Paella Competition will start at 9 am on Sunday, September 15 and there will be up to 7 prizes divided into several categories:
- 1st Prize for the Best Paella in the World
- Second Best Paella of the World Award
- Third Best Paella in the World
- Prize for the Third Best Paella in the World
- Prize for the best paella made by an international chef
- Prize for the best paella made by an international chef
- Prize for the best paella made by a Spanish chef
- Prize for the best paella made by a Spanish chef
- Prize for the best paella made by a chef from the Valencian Community
- Prize for the best paella made by a chef from the Valencian Community
- Prize for the best paella made by a local chef
- Prize for the best paella made by a local chef

Last year’s winner was the Restaurante Sequial 20 from Sueca with chefs Juan José San Bartolomé Grau and Daniel Vidal Ortells.
