Valencia North Station has a space very typical of other train stations located more than 10,000 kilometers away from the city. The famous “konbini” of Japan have their replica in Yuzu Cafe, a new space that has been designed to offer a fast dining experience, in the style of the typical 7Eleven of Japan.
This space, created in 2024, has everything one could need from these typical Japanese stores.
This is the inside of the first Japanese “konbini” in Valencia.
There is a section of instant noodles with varieties of ramen that customers can purchase and prepare by themselves in specific cooking machines located inside the store.
Next to the noodle station, there are fresh onigiris. These filled rice balls, a staple of the Japanese fast food diet, come in the triple-layer format that keeps the nori seaweed crisp until ready to eat. They feature flavors ranging from creamy tuna to spicy salmon to teriyaki chicken.
Elsewhere on the premises, the “Hot Snacks” section is based on a vending machine that provides immediate hot foods such as corn dogs (both classic and vegan), pork gyozas, beef baos and other snacks such as nuggets or croquettes.
The space also incorporates a coffee shop with specialty coffee and a range of typical Asian sweets, such as the well-known Pocky and Taiyaki fish-shaped sweets.
There is also an area with tables where these products can be consumed over a longer period of time.
