The World Press Photo Contest is one of the most prestigious awards in the world for photojournalism. For this reason, the finalist photos of this award are exhibited in galleries all over the world and attract all kinds of audiences.
This contest has been held for 67 years, although the exhibition did not arrive in Valencia until recently, as this year marks its 12th edition in the city.
This year, World Press Photo 2024 in Valencia will take place from October 19 to November 10 at the Fundación Chirivella Soriano.
The winners of the World Press Photo 2024 competition have been chosen by a jury composed of 31 professionals from around the world. In total, more than 61,000 photographs were submitted by authors from 130 countries.
The images that we will be able to see will show us relevant events of the previous year and reflect human dramas such as wars, the consequences of migration policies, climate change, natural disasters or how certain diseases affect society.
