On September 13, 2025 Voices of Fire performed in St. Peter’s Square during “Grace for the World”, giving the audience an unforgettable experience. With their powerful voices full of harmony and spirituality, they are one of the most inspiring groups in contemporary gospel, and their participation became one of the most exciting moments of the event.
Their performance alongside Pharrell Williams during THE ONE, ANYWHERE and MIRACLE WORKER, tracks included in their new album, added a magical energy to an already star-studded lineup featuring artists such as Andrea Bocelli, John Legend, Clipse, Jennifer Hudson and Karol G.
And it couldn’t have happened at a more opportune time, because just a week earlier they released OPHANIM, the album that opened a new chapter for the choir.
Voices of Fire: their origins
The gospel group was born as a result of the Netflix documentary of the same name. In it, Pharrell Williams and his uncle, Bishop Ezekiel Williams, set up a casting call to assemble a world-class gospel choir. Shot in Pharrell Williams’ hometown of Hampton Roads, Virginia, the documentary brought together people of all ages and backgrounds.
Fame was not long in coming after JOY (Unspeakable), a track in which Pharrell Williams’ production merges seamlessly with the choir’s sonority, resulting in a perfect blend of pop and gospel.
Beyond the music, if you’re a fashion lover you probably already recognized the choir thanks to their appearance in Pharrell’s debut as creative director in a menswear runway show in 2023, or during this year’ s Paris Fashion Week forLouis Vuitton’ s Spring/Summer 2026 collection. Combining style and spirituality, Voices of Fire began to conquer the international scene.
The release of OPHANIM
Their new album, consisting of 13 tracks, has just been released and perfectly reflects their collaborative spirit. In addition to the already known MIRACLE WORKER, OPHANIM also includes songs with artists who were also part of “Grace for the World”, such as THE ONE with Pharrell Williams, BUSINESS with John Legend or WON’T HE DO IT? with Teddy Swims. But those are not the only known names, OPHANIM also features artists such as CeeLo Green, Quavo or Zacardi Cortez.
Released by Warner Records, OPHANIM is available as a digital download through the official Voices of Fire website, as well as a limited edition vinyl release with exclusive cover art designed for each track.
With OPHANIM just released and the historic concert at the Vatican still in the memory, Voices of Fire is going through its best moment.
