The horchata museum opens its doors to the public several times a year, and the next opening will be this coming Saturday, February 28.
The El Machistre farmstead, located in the heart of the Alboraya orchards, 15 minutes from the city of Valencia, will organize a guided tour for individuals next Saturday to visit the interior of the Horchata and Chufa Museum, followed by a tasting of horchata with D.O. Valencia tiger nuts and fartons.
What can you see at the Horchata and Chufa Museum?

As with group visits, the session will review the history and cultivation methods related to this drink and the complete cycle of the tiger nut, from its origins in the field to its current commercialization stage.
The itinerary will continue to the Huerta Museum, a space located in the area of the old animal trough where various agricultural tools from the past are on display. In addition, visitors will be able to tour the rooms of the farmhouse itself.
This space is a living ethnographic museum with halls, kitchens, barns, and a chapel that showcase the Roman and Islamic influences in the region.
This tour costs €10 per person and reservations are required at info@elmachistre.es.
The site is located at Partida Masamardá number 51, on Camino del Machistre in the municipality of Alboraya.
Throughout the year, new registrations for individuals are usually opened. Groups of more than 15 people can book their own visit.
