The town of Ademuz is ready, once again, for the great lavender bloom. Throughout the month of July, the town council will roll out a program combining nature, tradition, culture, and local flavors—but with an important caveat: the lavender fields cannot be visited freely.
The lavender fields of Ademuz, in Rincón de Ademuz (Valencia), may only be visited this summer through guided tours with advance reservations arranged by Ecoaromuz. Unauthorized access to the farm is not permitted under any circumstances, as it is private property.
The expected blooming period runs from June 27 to July 19, 2026. Reservations are now available for 10 euros per person.
Time slots that are fully booked will be removed from the calendar as soon as they are filled.
What the visits to these fields are like
Each tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and covers a distance of about 3 kilometers through mountainous terrain. The tour ends at the Ecoaromuz facilities with an olfactory tasting of organic essential oils and a souvenir gift.
During the tour, participants will learn about different varieties of lavender and other aromatic plants, both cultivated and wild.
The guide also covers the culinary uses of lavender and its relationship with beekeeping, as bees are constantly present on the plants during the flowering season.
In addition to the tours, Ecoaromuz is organizing workshops on distillation and natural cosmetics using lavender, starting at 15 euros.
The terrain along the route is not accessible to wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, or strollers. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required; a hat, water, and sunscreen are recommended.
People with allergies or medical conditions should bring their regular or emergency medication, especially those allergic to bee stings.
In addition to the fields, another major highlight will be theartisan market, which will fill the squares of the Church and Elvira Lindo with local products,cooking demonstrations, crafts, activities, and performances.
