Tadej Pogačar, four-time Tour de France champion (2020, 2021, 2024, 2025), has made Valencia his winter headquarters. The Slovenian cyclist has chosen the Lluís Puig Velodrome this week to fine-tune his preparation for a demanding calendar that will begin in March in Italy, with his sights set on Milan-San Remo and Strade-Bianche before reconquering the Tour de France.
What many cycling fans don’t know is that sharing the same space as a world star doesn’t require million-dollar sponsorships. This municipal venue, managed by the Municipal Sports Foundation, is a public facility open to the public at very affordable rates.
€3.70 to use the same track as Pogačar

According to the official rates in force for the season, free use of the indoor cycling track costs €3.70 for a 120-minute session.
This fee allows any user to ride in a world-class setting, where major athletics and cycling events have been held.
In addition to the main track, the complex has other options for amateur athletes. Individual admission to the weight room costs €3.85 per hour, or access to the 200-meter athletics track , where international championships are held, costs the same as the cycling track.
Open Monday to Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for use of the facilities) and provided that it does not coincide with official competitions, it is an elite space that anyone can use in Valencia.
The exact address is Calle Cocentaina number 4, next to the Trade Fair, in Benimàmet.
The velodrome can also be reached by public transport, either by line 2, stopping at Les Carolines-Fira, lines 62 and N3 (night) of the EMT or by Valenbisi.
