This weekend, you don’t need to own a boat to enjoy a day out at the harbor. The Valencia Boat Show is coming to La Marina de Valencia with 160 boats and 140 brands—the largest exhibition in its history. The event will take place from October 28 through Sunday, November 1, with activities for all ages in the area surrounding Veles e Vents.
The event features two free-access areas: the Expo Zone and the Plaza de la Sal; and two paid exhibition areas: the Floating Area and the Dry Marina. Admission to view the boats and brands in these areas is 13 euros per person.
Expo Zone: Free sailboat trips and tours of Navy ships
The Expo Zone is where clubs, schools, and federations organize introductory activities to water sports, sailing knot workshops, and talks. It’s an ideal space for beginners looking to get started in the world of sailing, as well as for the whole family to enjoy.
Highlights of the program include activities such as sailing trips, a lateen sail regatta organized by the Valencian Community Sailing Federation, and tours of the schooner Tirant Primer. Over the weekend, visitors will also be able to board the Spanish Navy’s ship Formentor and the Salvamar vessel from the Maritime Rescue Service.
Both boat trips and tours of historic and notable vessels are completely free, although some require prior registration through the event’s website.
Dock & Roll: Live Music
Plaza de la Sal debuts Dock & Roll, another free-access space, featuring live music, food trucks, and a crafts and design market. The musical lineup includes sets by DJs from Beso Beach Formentera, Strange Boy b2b Elena Megi, Mila Lo Coco, DJ MK, and Toxicosmos, as well as an acoustic rumba concert by Bamboleo. On Saturday, La Pérgola will host concerts by Karavana and Anabel Lee.
The venue will also host children’s pizza-making workshops, Halloween catrina face-painting, and sessions at the Redhome Electronic Youth_Lab, an introduction to the world of DJs.
The paid exhibition area is divided into two spaces: the Floating Area, featuring boats afloat; and the Dry Marina, where boats are on dry dock, along with accessories, technology, and professional services. Between these two areas, visitors will find sailboats, motorboats, catamarans, RIBs, tenders, and all kinds of vessels—from vintage to state-of-the-art—that will amaze both sailing novices and more experienced enthusiasts alike.
Among the new models are the Aquila 45 Sail and the Absolute Navetta 50, unveiled in Cannes in September; the De Antonio D36 Cabin, a finalist for the Best of Boats awards; and the Saxdor 460 GTC, which made its debut at boot Düsseldorf. There are also projects from the Valencian Community: the LYRA 35, a 35-foot sailboat from the Valencian shipyard LYRAWORKS making its debut at a boat show, and the Balea 23, designed and built in Dénia.
