This coming weekend Uitiel will once again fill its streets with thousands of candles. If the records of previous editions are equaled, there will be about 50,000 that will illuminate the streets of the Valencian town during the night of Saturday 7 to Sunday June 8.
And it is that from June 6 to 8, the city will be filled with music, art, gastronomy and thousands of candles with the celebration of the IX edition of “Utiel, 250 years by candlelight”, the great annual event of the town that this year 2025 acquires a particularly emotional value for the dana.
Streets, squares and corners of the town will be transformed into a stage of light and emotion, in tribute to the neighbors and groups who fought after the passage of the dana last October. In the same town of Utiel 6 deaths were recorded.
The main event will take place on Saturday June 7 at 21:45 hours, when once the mayor Ricardo Gabaldón light the first candle in the company of representatives of the most affected neighborhoods and aid teams, the rest of the neighbors will do the same for the dozens of streets of the historic center of the city.
