Within the framework of the Triathlon World Cup, next weekend, September 14 and 15, the MediterráneaTri will be held in Valencia. The cycling event of this triathlon will circulate around the Marina of Valencia, therefore, from Thursday 12 there will be affectations to traffic and parking in the area.
We explain what will be the route of the race, the streets that will be cut and the effects on parking around La Marina.
Route of the race and traffic cuts
Throughout the morning, both on the 14th and 15th, the cycling events will take place. Therefore, until after noon, it will not be possible to circulate in the area.
The circuit of the tests will begin in the Plaza de l’Aigua and will pass through the vial de La Marina, following the street J.J Dómine. It will then continue along Avenida del Puerto and cyclists will have to turn before reaching Serrería. For this reason, on Avenida del Puerto only the EMT-Taxi lane will be enabled.
Afterwards, the athletes will continue along Joan Verdaguer street turning before Ibiza street, from where they will head to Ingeniero José Manuel Soto street. The circuit will pass through the Astilleros bridge and Moreres street and turn before Estacioneta street. With this, the traffic circle will be enabled, since from the Moreres will continue to La Marina Sur.
Once they pass the Astilleros bridge, they will go to Paseo de la Calma. In this sense, in Astilleros there will be a lane enabled for residual traffic. Finally they will reach the Vial de La Marina and finish in the Plaza del Agua.
