More than 100 years after its sinking, the Titanic continues to fascinate us. From its historic departure from the port of Southampton (England) to its final destination, its story is the stuff of books, films, and exhibitions. Such is the case with The Legend of the Titanic, an immersive experience that offers an in-depth look at one of the most significant historical events of the 20th century. The exhibition, produced by MAD Madrid Artes Digitales, has already opened at Bombas Gens Centre d’Arts Digitals, where it will be on display for a limited time. You can buy tickets here.
After visiting other cities such as Madrid, London, and Vienna (where it has been seen by more than 800,000 visitors), The Legend of the Titanic has docked in Valencia with new interactive installations created for the occasion. These include different formats that ensure both education and entertainment in equal measure. Furthermore, this is not a passive exhibition: here, visitors are not mere spectators but active participants in the experience, becoming witnesses and protagonists of this chapter in history.
What awaits us at The Legend of the Titanic?

The first rooms of the exhibition explain the sociocultural context of the time (1912) and include accounts from the ship’s passengers (among whom were some Spaniards). These rooms include some examples of the passengers’ clothing and an impressive collection of objects related to the Titanic, originals from the period and from the private collection of Juan Cruz Ercoreca, which immerse us fully in the story. In addition, if you are a fan of the film Titanic (1997, James Cameron), you can also see up close some of the objects that were used in its filming.
The Legend of the Titanic also shows us impressive reproductions of some of the ship’s most famous rooms, such as the first and third class corridors, the gangway, the lifeboat, and the bow, where we can feel like kings of the world for a moment.

This is Bombas Gens, where you can’t miss its huge immersive room. A 360º film is projected in it, allowing us to recall the moment the ship was built, learn about the history of the Callaghan family, accompany the father and daughter of this family on their journey, and relive some of the historical moments that marked the history of the ocean liner. In addition, The Legend of the Titanic will feature two virtual reality experiences to make you feel even more like a part of the story.

On the one hand, one dedicated to the last moments of the Titanic Orchestra, where we will witness the courage and dignity of these musicians, who remained at their posts until the very end. On the other hand, a striking <shortcode data-tag=”trackLink” link_url=”https://titaniclaexposicion.es/”>metaverse</shortcode> experience that takes us right inside the ship: a tour of the most iconic rooms at the time of the sinking, culminating in an unprecedented journey into the depths of the ocean in search of the wreckage.<br />
