Are you more of a smash burger person, or do you prefer a thick, juicy, old-school burger? No cheese or lots of cheese? Do you stick to the classics, or do you dare to try the craziest combinations? Whatever your burger preference, you have a date this month at Camp de Mestalla. From June 11 to 29, Valencia CF’s home stadium becomes the home of The Champions Burger, a traveling food festival dedicated to burgers. Here you can get your meal deals for any day of the event.
The Champions Burger transforms the field into an American-style meat lover’s paradise. This tour, which has already traveled through half of Spain and part of Portugal, is called “The Big Game” and is inspired by the NFL (professional American football league): burgers take center stage, but there will also be a show decked out in the blue, red, and white colors of the stars-and-stripes flag.
What you’ll find at The Champions Burger Valencia
The Champions Burger in Valencia hopes to repeat the success of 2025, when 300,000 attendees enjoyed the festival and the most spectacular burgers in the country. This time, 25 burger joints are taking to the field to present their gourmet offerings, and they’ll be doing so aboard the most eye-catching food trucks .
Although meat takes center stage, this time there are up to six options for vegetarians. People with celiac disease can also enjoy The Champions Burger, with up to five gluten-free options to choose from.
There will also be a variety of appetizers (in addition to classic french fries), as well as desserts and some extra dishes to accompany your meal: from a refreshing salmorejo to gyozas or something as quintessentially American as Mac & Cheese.
The public plays a key role in this food event: they’re not only invited to taste the burgers but also to vote for their favorite. They’ll be asked to rate the main ingredient—the meat (or plant-based alternative), of course—but also the bun, the combination of ingredients, the presentation, and the originality.
The winning burgers from the Valencia competition will advance to the Spanish and European finals: at the end of the year, the winners from all the cities on the tour will compete to determine which ones deserve the titles of “Best Burger in Spain“ and “Best Burger in Europe.”
