October 9th, the day of the Valencian Community, is approaching . This day commemorates the entry of King James I to the city and the subsequent establishment of the Kingdom of Valencia.
To celebrate this day, the Generalitat has organized the festival “Som de la Terreta” in three cities of the Community on Saturday October 5, Valencia, Alicante and Villa-Real.
Throughout the day there will be workshops, children’s activities and gastronomic samples. With this, the Generalitat Valenciana aims to highlight the cultural and musical diversity of the terreta.
“Som de la Terreta” is aimed at all audiences. For this reason, the day will take place throughout the day. In the morning, from 11 am to 3 pm, children’s activities, workshops and tasting of gastronomic products will take place. In the afternoon, from 4 pm, the concerts will begin, which will take place at the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències.

- Children’s area. From 0 to 6 years old. There will be an area with Pikler furniture and musical and sensory walls.
- Workshops and games. From 4 to 10 years old. The workshops will consist of personalizing a tote bag, creating a St. Dionysus marzipan with plasticine and designing banners and stickers.
- Face painting. All ages. Throughout the day, children can paint their faces with their favorite designs.
- Children’s entertainment. All ages. Yoga classes for the whole family, concerts, dances and other surprises will be held on the mini-stage during the morning.
- Inflatables. All ages. Som de la Terreta will also have inflatables for children to climb and play on them.
- Musical Show “Dance with Drillo”. All ages. La Pandilla del Drillo will offer a musical show with their most popular songs.
Gastronomy Zone
Throughout the day, in Som de la Terreta you will find a large gastronomic area with food trucks and typical Valencian products so you can celebrate the day of the Valencian Community.
Concerts in the afternoon
From 4 pm to 8 pm the City of Arts and Sciences will be filled with music with Funzo & Baby Loud, Iñigo Quintero, Itaca Band, Maldita Nerea, Marlena and Samuraï in the Som de la Terreta festival.
