Valencia will live another year the Night of San Juan in dozens of beaches in the city and metropolitan area. During the night of Friday 23 to Saturday June 24, the best beaches of Valencia will be filled with music and bonfires to celebrate the arrival of summer.
This year 2023, Saturday June 24 has been declared a regional holiday, so it is expected a large influx of people on the beaches of Valencia. The coincidence in weekend will also facilitate the displacements.
In the city of Valencia, the city council has already announced the number of local police, firefighters and assistance services that will participate in one of the busiest nights on the promenade of Valencia.
The Municipal Transport Company has already announced that 90,000 additional bus seats will be activated to facilitate transfers to and from the beaches of Valencia. The lines that will run with reinforced services are 19, 23, 24, 25, 31, 32, 92, 93, 95, 98 and 99. These will offer service from 6 p.m. on Friday and throughout the night of San Juan.
The Valencia City Council has also announced that 3 “violet points” will be set up in Hotel Neptuno, the sculpture of Antonio Ferrandis and the Esplanade of the Dolphins to deal with any situation of sexist violence.
No fires will be allowed on the southern beaches.
Due to the proximity to the Albufera area, from Pinedo to Perellonet no fires may be lit to avoid possible fires.
