The municipality of Utiel will celebrate tomorrow , Saturday January 3, the distribution of a “giant” Roscón de Reyes that this year reaches 60 meters in length. The event will begin at 18 hours in the Plaza Puerta del Sol in the town.
A Roscón that this year will be made by the local company La Tahona de Utiel.

As reported by the organization, the sweet will have a size 25 meters long by 5 meters wide, totaling 60 linear meters of product.
It will be free to try. From the City Council of Utiel have confirmed that, in case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the facilities of the Social Center of the municipality to ensure its celebration.

The assembly of the roscón is composed of 90 individual pieces of three kilos each. For the preparation of the dough and the decoration, the pastry team has used industrial quantities of raw materials, such as 215 kilos of flour, 85 kilos of sourdough, 110 kilos of sugar and 22 kilos of butter. 750 eggs from free-range hens and 20 liters of milk were used.
For the aromatization and the characteristic citrus flavor of this dessert, the recipe incorporates 380 oranges, 110 lemons and orange blossom water, with 110 kilos of candied fruit for the top decoration.
