The municipal swimming pool of La Hípica will reopen its doors this coming weekend. The sports center, which closed in 2024 as an equestrian center, will officially reopen this Saturday, June 21 under a new formula, a concession to the company Aquaval, which also manages the Benicalap and Parque del Oeste pools.
The enclosure will remain operational until Sunday, August 31. The general admission is somewhat more expensive than in other municipal pools: it will cost 5.15 euros and the reduced admission for pensioners and children under 16 will be 2.60 euros.
During the summer season, the free swimming hours will be from Monday to Friday, from 12:00 to 18:30 hours without interruption. On weekends and holidays, the hours will be extended from 11:00 to 19:00 hours.
It was an open secret that the Equestrian Center would reopen its doors this summer, after the city council announced its intention to do so with this formula in extremis to save the summer season.
From September, the municipal team will explore several offers from operators interested in its long-term management, as confirmed by Levante-EMV.
Summer camps at La Hípica
The summer offer will be completed with summer camps between June 23 and August 1. La Hípica will offer two summer camps for children and teenagers between the ages of 4 and 17.
The campus will include activities such as sports, arts and crafts and games. For its part, the theater campus will offer training in improvisation, body expression, singing, dancing and pool, with performances every Friday.
Both programs will run from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, with the option of a dining room and extended hours until 4:30 pm. The price starts at 165 euros per week and can be consulted on Aquaval’s website.
