This Wednesday, August 14, the Valencian Community faces another day of atmospheric instability with active weather alerts in several areas of the region, as happened this past Tuesday.
According to the last updated report at 07:30 hours, the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued orange and yellow warnings for thunderstorms and accumulated rainfall in different areas. The most intense storms are expected on the north coast of Alicante,south coast of Valencia,inland Alicante,south coast of Alicante andsouth inland Valencia, where the orange warning has already been activated.
In these Zones, storms could be accompanied by hail and very strong wind gusts. The orange level alert will be in effect from 06:00 hours until 23:59 hours today.
Heavy rains are also expected with accumulations of up to 30 mm in one hour in several Zones, with yellow alert. These Zones are the north coast of Alicante, thesouth coast of Valencia, theinterior of Alicante andnterior of Castellón. In these areas, rainfall could also reach 40 mm/h at times.
Bad weather will persist throughout the day, so the population is advised to exercise extreme caution.
