The GVA+Salut app launches a new version. The Regional Ministry of Health has updated its digital tool, and the two major new features of this version are the virtual SIP card and access to clinical image history directly from the mobile phone.
With the virtual SIP, patients no longer need to carry the physical card to identify themselves at healthcare facilities or to pick up medication at the pharmacy, where they can present a QR code generated by the app itself. All pharmacies in the Valencian Community are already equipped to scan it.
As for medical images, the app provides access to an archive of over 65 million images —X-rays, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic tests—which users can view, download, and share via a link and a PIN code. This feature allows citizens to “quickly access their reports and test results” without having to travel.
To access these features, users must log in using Cl@ve, a digital certificate, or an electronic ID, as required by the Data Protection Act.
What’s coming in 2026
The current update is just the starting point. Throughout this year, new features will be progressively added, including the following highlights.
In the health and wellness section, the app will include an area called ‘My Health Guidelines’ with personalized information on lifestyle, nutrition, exercise, and emotional well-being, as well as data on pollen levels, which is particularly useful for allergy sufferers.
For managing appointments and administrative tasks, users can cancel or reschedule appointments without prior notice, automatically generate PDF receipts, receive pre-consultation instructions, and request appointments for programs such as breast cancer screening. Real-time tracking of surgical procedures will also be incorporated.
As for pharmacological treatments, the app will send reminders to renew chronic treatments and allow for the automatic recording of vital signs such as weight, temperature, or blood glucose levels via compatible medical devices.
Finally, there are plans to incorporate geolocation tools to locate pharmacies—including those on duty—and defibrillators.
To access the new features already available, simply update the GVA+Salut app on your mobile device.
