Valencia City Council has announced this week the deployment of its Christmas lighting plan for 2025 and 2026, which will feature 45 Christmas trees and 274 luminous arches distributed throughout all districts of the city.
For the second consecutive year, the consistory will allocate a budget of 1.1 million euros for the ornamental decoration, in which the Town Hall Square will once again be the epicenter of the celebration with a 25-meter high tree that will begin to be assembled this Tuesday, November 11, at 6:00 am. The installation work is expected to be completed on Friday, November 14.
According to the Councillor for Central Services, Julia Climent, the main tree, five meters higher than two years ago, will premiere a “new Christmas decoration, with luminous stars and new ornamental motifs”. The decoration of the square will be completed with ornamentation in the surrounding trees, seven “blanket stars” and a new decoration on the facade of the Town Hall.
Of the total of 45 trees that will adorn the city, 26 will have a height of 6 meters and natural appearance, located in the Municipal District Boards and in the districts of La Torre, Castellar-l’Oliveral and Forn d’Alcedo. Another 18 luminous trees will be installed in the rest of the districts, together with luminous signs in Valencian “Bon Nadal”.
New Christmas lighting by neighborhoods

This year’s plan includes the installation of 274 luminous arches, with new designs in Colón street and the roads adjacent to the town hall.
As a novelty, arches will be placed in Castellón street, recently affected by works, and the lighting will be extended in Real de Madrid (La Torre) and Ruiz i Comes (Castellar-l’Oliveral) avenues.
In Calle de la Paz, 60 arches will include “glitter” type tears that will provide luminous sparkles also during the day, as well as the return of the giant comet to the Serranos Bridge, a 3D luminous reindeer in front of the City of Arts and Sciences, a five-meter walkable sphere in the Plaza del Pintor Segrelles and a walkable bell in the Plaza del Patriarca.
The traditional luminous nativity scene will be moved this year to Hospital Street. Also, 55 monumental lampposts will be decorated in the Grandes Vías and eight in the Plaza de la Reina, and more than 4 kilometers of zigzag garlands will be installed in commercial areas, including the Plaza de San Agustín.
When will the Christmas decorations in Valencia be illuminated?

The Valencia City Council has not yet set an official lighting date. However, it is expected to be November 21, two weeks earlier than usual (it always occurs on the first weekend of December).
