One of the consequences of the DANA in Valencia has been the total cessation of Metrovalencia’s activity for more than a week. For the time being, new temporary Metrobus lines have been inaugurated to cover some of the stretches that the metro used to run.
Now, a week after the torrential rains, the first trains have started to run in the city, although in a testing phase.
For the time being, the aim is to check that all the safety, signaling, communications, supply and customer service systems are working properly before reopening to the public.
First the tramway will be opened, which is scheduled to reopen in the next few days, and then, in a few weeks, the metro lines will begin to operate. The last to return to normality will be the connections with the municipalities of the regions of Horta Sud and La Ribera, as these are the stretches most affected by the storm.
