MediaMarkt will close its Massalfassar store, located in the El Manar shopping center, to relocate its operations to the town of Sagunto, where it will open a new store next Wednesday, June 11, at the VidaNova Parc retail park on Avenida de Les Moreres, as previously announced on its website.
The space that the German electronics chain will occupy is the former GiFi location in that same shopping center, as reported by several media outlets such as Las Provincias.
With this move, MediaMarkt is closing a store that has been operating for 13 years in El Manar and is concentrating its presence in the region at a single location in Sagunto.
The opening will take place in two phases. On Wednesday, June 10, at 12:30 p.m., an official ceremony will be held, attended by local authorities, who will tour the facilities guided by company representatives.
The following day, Thursday, June 11, the store will open its doors to the general public.
MediaMarkt has not officially disclosed the reasons for the closure in Massalfassar or provided details about the new location regarding floor space or staffing. Nor has it confirmed whether the move will affect current employment at the store.
