“The most powerful mascletá in history”. So has baptized the City Council of Aldaia the shot that will take place next Wednesday, August 6, at 14:30 hours, in the Green Belt of the Valencian town.
The consistory has scheduled a mascletá “of large dimensions” on the occasion of the 225th anniversary of the invocation of the Holy Christ of the Needy. The fireworks display, organized by the Clavaris del Crist 2025 in collaboration with Pirotecnia Mediterráneo, will include the firing of 1,310 kilos of gunpowder and will last approximately 12 minutes.
According to Antonio García Juan, manager of the pyrotechnic company, the event will consist of a traditional Valencian style mascletá, although with greater intensity and rhythm. The assembly will include 11,400 warning thunders, five terrestrial and aerial principles, an earthquake of three kilometers and a hermetic closing.
The event, which sextuples the limit of gunpowder allowed in similar shootings in the city of Valencia, has been possible thanks to the amplitude of the Green Belt, which will allow the execution of elements that are not authorized in other spaces.
The organization has planned a three-day assembly and has established a special security device. Two protection perimeters will be implemented and there will be reinforced presence of private security, Civil Guard and Local Police.
How to get to Aldaia’s Green Belt
The organizers recommend arriving in advance to facilitate access and distribution of the public.
The Aldaia Green Belt is located in the north of the town, next to Av. Joan Fuster and Camí del Pont Nou.
