The Valencian town of Mislata will finally celebrate tonight the great night mascletà that had to be postponed due to heavy rainfall associated with the recent dana Alice last October 8.
The event will be held in the Plaza Mayor of the municipality, next to the metro stop Mislata – Almassil, at 23:59 hours in a night format that is expected to be “historic” according to the organizers.
Up to 104 shooters will perform this large mascletá designed by Pirotecnia Valenciana, with manual and mechanized techniques, followed by a final fireworks display.
Organized by the Federation of Traditional Pyrotechnics of Mislata, the Mislata mascletá seeks to position itself as one of the great alternative firing outside the Fallas calendar.
This mascletá could beat the record set last March by the Falla Antonio Molle-Gregorio Gea, in collaboration with the peña Espartans del Foc and pyrotechnics Nadal-Martí, as the largest night mascletá in history.
