
The Valencian wine LoAlto Tardana 2023, produced by Bodegas Murviedro at its estate located at 750 meters altitude in Venta del Moro, in Requena-Utiel, has been awarded a silver medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2025 (DWWA), one of the most important and demanding wine competitions worldwide.
During the evaluation process, which took place last May, a panel of 248 international experts, including 72 Masters of Wine and 22 Master Sommeliers, conducted blind tastings to evaluate thousands of wines from around the world.
The panel awarded a silver medal to LoAlto Tardana, a wine made exclusively from the Tardana variety, a grape native to Valencia.
According to the tasting, the nose presents fresh and vibrant notes of orange and ripe peach, while the palate stands out for its creamy texture and an elegant balance between sweetness and freshness.
This wine is designed to accompany white meats, blue and white fish, seafood and rice dishes, and is priced at around 15 euros,
Bodegas Murviedro has been based in Requena since 1927 and belongs to the international group Schenk.
