Alboraya will celebrate next Wednesday, July 9, the Horchata Day handing out glasses of this drink and free fartons from 12 noon.
In the Avenida de l’Orxata, the Product Club Alboraya Horchata Artisans and the City Council perform this distribution while stocks last, accompanied by the Colla de Tabal i Dolçaina of the Societat Musical de Alboraya.
In addition to this initiative, there will also be tourist experiences, workshops and live music.
Horchata Day program in Alboraya 2025
During the morning and afternoon, there will be free activities organized by local tourism companies:
- Orxata Tour at Món Orxata: two guided tours (10:00 h and 12:00 h) to discover how horchata is made. The 12:00 h session will be in English. Meeting point: c/ Picapedrers, 10, Camí a la Mar, Alboraia.
- Horchata workshop at Alqueria Maria Llistar Planta i Cull: will be held at two times (10:00 h and 18:00 h) to experience first-hand the artisanal production of horchata. Location: Partida de Savoia, Alboraia.
- The route “From tigernut to horchata” with València Original Tours will be a tour from the cultivation to the final product, with departures at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. Meeting point: Alboraia-Palmaret metro station.
In the afternoon, the workshop “Circo en familia” will be held at 7:30 pm at the Espai de Circ, where children and adults can learn juggling, balancing, acrobatics and clowning.
At 11:00 pm, the fairgrounds of Alboraya will host the performance of the Nexus Orchestra, with hits from the 60s to the present. As the end of the party, the Orxatast will close the night with, once again, free tastings of horchata and fartons at the fairgrounds.
