The show Genesis finally arrives in Valencia. After its successful run in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Zurich and London, among others, this impressive immersive experience will make its debut in the city on October 25 in a unique videoscenario: the Church of the Jesuits. Tickets have already gone on sale and you can get them here.
This event has been a resounding success throughout Europe, with more than 500,000 spectators who have already lived the experience in various cities. However, each version of Genesis is unique, as it adapts to the architecture and characteristics of the place where it is presented. In Valencia, the Church of the Jesuits, known for its neo-Byzantine heritage and neo-Romanesque touches, will be the perfect backdrop for this visual and sound video mapping show.
During the 30-minute experience in Valencia, attendees will be immersed in a sensory journey that recreates the first seven days of the creation of the world through advanced projections.
Attendees will witness the appearance of light in the darkness, the formation of the skies and oceans, and the creation of the earth and vegetation while seated (or lying down) on comfortable poufs. Each of these moments is represented with music and visual and sound effects designed by the artistic collective behind the project: PROJEKTIL.
PROJEKTIL, the art collective behind Genesis
The minds behind Genesis are PROJEKTIL, a multidisciplinary artist collective from Zurich. Their team includes visual artists, musicians, programmers and designers charged with elevating this experience by creating an interface of technology and art as EONARIUM.
EONARIUM uses projectors to cover all the structures of the ancient buildings such as its pillars, domes or altar. The ceilings and walls of the building seem to disappear as if by magic, revealing infinite dimensions with colors, patterns and objects accompanied by cozy and immersive music designed for the show.
