Although March is officially “Theater Month,” in Valencia we’ve always done things our own way, and—without intending to disrupt any global calendar—the Valencia Provincial Council has launched the SARC In Itinere 2026 program for the month of September, featuring five free theater performances held throughout the province.
The first performance is this Saturday, September 5, in Benetússer: the La Negra theater company will present *Win Win*, a play for adults, at 7:00 p.m. at the El Molí Cultural Center. On September 13, the García Berlanga Theater in San Antonio, Requena, will host Vertedero by Bramant Teatre in the afternoon (time to be determined), a play designed for children ages 7 to 10.
On September 19, Gavarda’s Town Hall Square will become a stage for *Diminuts* by La Fam Teatre, a production suitable for all audiences at 7:00 p.m. On September 26, Potries will host *La funció* by Ful Art, a play for adults at 7:00 p.m. at the Casa de la Cultura.
The month wraps up on September 27 in Utiel with *Viaje a Oz* by Trencadís Cultural, a musical theater production for all ages at 7:00 p.m. at the Teatro Rambal.
All performances are free, but there’s one step to take first: tickets aren’t reserved through a single website. Each city council manages and distributes its own tickets, so anyone wishing to attend will need to contact the city council of the corresponding municipality directly, check its website, or review its social media to secure a spot.
‘SARC In Itinere’ is part of the cultural campaigns organized by the Culture Department of the Provincial Council of Valencia, which also includes initiatives such as Les Arts Volant, D’Arrel, Etnomusic, and Fem-Ho Jazz. In total, the program features 25 events in 25 municipalities between May and December 2026. If you’d like to learn more about these activities, visit the SARC website.
