Getting around the city of Valencia has never been as easy and affordable as it will be tomorrow, World Car-Free Day. The EMT announced earlier this month that municipal bus service would be completely free all day Tuesday, September 22, in observance of this special day.
But it won’t be the only service celebrating European Mobility Day: Metrovalencia and Metrobús have announced that using the metro, tram, and intercity bus networks will also be free throughout the day tomorrow.
To make access easier and ensure no one gets confused when validating their ticket, the turnstiles will be open and the validation machines will be out of service. However, ticket and pass vending machines will remain operational in case any passengers need to purchase a ticket or pass for future use.
Metrovalencia reaffirms its commitment to reducing the use of personal vehicles by continuing to offer free rides to children under 14 and to residents of the municipalities affected by the DANA in October 2024. In addition, multi-trip passes continue to offer a 40% discount on the price of monthly passes, and those under 31 can use the Móbilis 30 card to receive discounts of up to 50% on monthly passes.
