The Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències will organize this Thursday, September 18th at 9:30 pm a day of astronomical observation in the Astronomy Garden of the Umbracle.
The activity, of free access, will allow to contemplate several summer nebulae through telescopes.
During the event, the public will be able to observe with telescopes several nebulae characteristic of the summer sky. Among the celestial objects planned are the Lagoon Nebula, a star-forming region visible near the center of the Milky Way; the Swan Nebula, located in the constellation Sagittarius; the Dumbbell Nebula, a planetary phenomenon that shows the final destiny of stars similar to the Sun; and the Ring Nebula, located in the constellation Lyra.
If you miss this event, the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències will organize another activity on Sunday, September 28, on the occasion of the International Day of Scientific Culture.
Between 11:00 and 13:00 hours there will be a solar observation with specialized telescopes to visualize phenomena such as sunspots and solar flares.
