The president of Mercadona, Juan Roig, consolidates for another year as the richest person in the Valencian Community and the fourth in Spain, with an estimated wealth of 7.9 billion euros, according to the list “The 100 richest Spaniards 2025” published this November by Forbes magazine.
The list places other large fortunes in the region in prominent positions in the national ranking. The Valencian podium is completed by Hortensia Herrero, shareholder of Mercadona, with 4,400 million euros (national ranking 7), and Fernando Roig, owner of Pamesa and shareholder of Mercadona, with 2,100 million (ranking 15).
Among the 100 richest people in Spain are also the shipping businessman Vicente Boluda, with 1.1 billion euros (46th place), and Asunción Manzanet Costa, shareholder of Porcelanosa, with 670 million (73rd place).
This year, the publication highlights the “resilience and prosperity” of the Valencian Community, which continues to recover from the DANA tragedy, and highlights the diversity of business in the region.

In its regional analysis, Forbes also highlights other relevant fortunes in the region, including Dimas de Andrés Puyol and family (Medcap Real Estate), with 345 million; the Aparici family (STN Cerámica), with 330 million; and Rafael Juan Fernández and family (Vicky Foods), with 325 million.
The regional list is completed with names such as Adolfo Utor (Balearia) and Ana and Pablo Serratosa Luján (Grupo Zriser).
