
The Dansa València festival will kick off its 38th edition this weekend with a series of free shows in different spaces of the city and municipalities affected by the floods of last October. The “Moviments Urbans” initiative seeks to bring dance to all audiences and, on this occasion, will also serve as a gesture of support and resilience for the communities hit by the natural disaster.
On April 5 and 6, Dansa València will bring eight shows to iconic spaces such as the Museu de Belles Arts, Jardín del Túria, Nau Ribes del Parc Central and Plaza de la Virgen, as well as Catarroja and Massanassa.
These shows will merge urban dance, physical theater, Latin rhythms and proposals for children. The programming of Dansa València for next weekend is as follows:

Saturday, April 5
- 11:00h – Museu de Belles Arts: Cuentas corrientes – Jessica Castellón & Boris Orihuela reflect on the emotional and physical limits in the work environment.
- 11:30h – Museu de Belles Arts: Nel mio respiro – CocinandoDanza presents a piece about connecting with the essence of life through breathing.
- 12:00h – Río Túria (Puente de la Trinidad): Lo que los árboles no cuentan – Kiko López & Héctor Plaza explore the relationship between nature and human beings.
- 17:00h – Nau Ribes: Why is a tree a chicken? – The French company Ma Compagnie invites children to a space of play and imagination.
Sunday, April 6th
- 11:30h – Catarroja (Market Square): Estrip (outdoor) – Paula Serrano uses Velcro as a central element for a sensory journey.
- 11:30h – Nau Ribes: Why is a tree a chicken? – Second performance of the children’s show by Ma Compagnie.
- 12:30h – Massanassa (Town Hall Square): El Baile de la Zurda – LaCerda brings a piece inspired by dance marathons and Latin rhythms.
- 17:00h – Plaza de la Virgen: Valencia City Cypher – All Styles Battle – An urban dance battle open to all styles and levels, with public participation in the selection of the jury.
