The province of Valencia hides countless secrets and one of them is the river cruise along the waters of the Júcar River. We are talking about a boat trip of about 30 kilometers through the Júcar Canyons from which we can appreciate the nature of the Zone from a privileged point of view.
This fluvial route joins the towns of Cofrentes and Cortés de Pallás along a 900-meter high plateau known as La Muela de Cortes. Through these waters, which reach 100 meters deep, there is a varied animal (it is a national game reserve), plant and geological ecosystem.
The route departs from the Jucar-Cofrentes pier, runs between the canyons (some over 400 meters high) and lasts about an hour and a half (round trip). There are several daily departures scheduled, but it is recommended to consult and reserve your visit in advance.
The boat has a glass roof that allows a complete panoramic view of the landscape, not only through the side windows. So you will not miss monuments that appear along the way such as the Castle of Chirel, points such as the Boquera de Sácaras and a huge waterfall, among others.
The price of the route in 2024 is about 19.5 euros per person (13.5 euros for children from 3 to 12 years old), and they say that whoever does it, repeats. At all times you will be accompanied by a guide who will give you all the details. More information on schedules, routes and reservations here.
