Los Delinqüentes were born in Jerez, they revolutionized the music scene almost as if they didn’t want it, with simple songs, uncomplicated, about daily life, about the little things that make us be alive. After a fifteen year hiatus following the death of Er Migue, El Canijo de Jerez and Diego Ratón will reunite again next year, celebrating a quarter of a century of the band’s life. In the middle of “primavera trompetera”, they will perform in Valencia: it will be on April 17 at the Roig Arena and tickets are already on sale.
This tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of their debut album, El sentimiento garrapatero que nos traen las flores, an album that they will perform in its entirety (besides performing more songs, those hymns that marked an era such as La primavera trompetera, A la luz del Lorenzo or El aire de la calle).
The figure of Er Migue, present in the concerts
As already announced in La Revuelta a few months ago, this 2026 tour is a tribute to his legacy (which today bands like Sanguijuelas del Guadiana collect). But also to Er Migue. Not in vain, in this tour both his image and his voice will be projected on stage, through a giant screen. Er Migue will sing again, in synchrony, with the rest of the band.
Miguel Ángel Benítez Gómez, composer and guitarist of Los Delinqüentes was one of the creators (unintentionally) of that “garrapatero” feeling, of the naturalness without imposture, of going out to the streets to step on the ground, of living in connection with the Jerez where he was born.
As Sandra Moruiz from Jerez explains, it all started with Er Migue, who lived in a little house in the countryside in San José Obrero. His dogs were “mineítos” of ticks, so he dedicated time and desire to remove each one of the ticks of his animals and to keep them in a jar to teach them later to the Canijo. And from there, his improvised profession: garrapatero, which ended up becoming a synonym for “cool stuff” and, therefore, to name the fans of Los Delinqüentes.
